SaddleBrooke Earns Top Spot
America's Best 100 Communities
With more then 500,000 readers each issues, Where To Retire magazine is America's formost authority on pre- & retirement relocation.
Every two years, Where To Retire magazine selectes the 100 master-planned communities in the US, which it considers to offer the best in quality, value and lifestyle.
The Editors of Where To Retire magazine spend many months evaluating several hundred communities across the country. Those chosen for the "100 Best" vary in cost, location and the range of lifestyle amenities that contribute to interesting active and fulfilling lifestyles for retirees.
This year's top communities were recently announced in the July/August 2009 issue with five Robson Resort Communities being selected for this prestigious list: Robson Ranch in Eloy, AZ; PebbleCreek in Goodyear, AZ; Quail Creek in Green Valley, AZ; SaddleBrooke in Oracle, AZ; and Robson Ranch in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
According to Where To Retire magazine a common refrain they heard over and over when interviewing homeowners: "It's more like a resort. Our friends can't believe it."
Here's what our homeowners had to say:
Robson Ranch - AZ "This community is fit for a king," says Carol, who still telecommutes as a paralegal. She and Mike like the Robson quality in home construction and amenities. "The restaurant ambience is fabulous. It's furnished beautifully. The quality of the food is excellent and the service impeccable."
PebbleCreek Steve had misgivings about active adult communities until a friend invited him to play pickleball at another development. "As soon as I came back, I said, "This is for me," says Steve 64 and single. "I feel like a high school kid on summer vacation."
Quail Creek "When we drove through the gate, I said, 'we're buying a house here,' and that day we bought a lot," he (Roger) remembers. When Brends turned 55 and could retire, "we were on the road the next day," she says.
SaddleBrooke Art and Arlene, found SaddleBrooke in Where To Retire and stopped to take advantage of the Preferred Guest Program during an 1,000-mile cross-country motorcycle trip. “Your life starts when you move into SaddleBrooke,” Arlene says.
Robson Ranch Texas “Our kids are calling us party animals now,” says Dr. Mike Sabo, who moved with wife Pat from Lufkin, TX, in 2008. “We’re socializing more than ever,” he says. “It’s more like a country club or resort.” To read the article in its entirety, check out the July/August 2009 issue of Where To Retire magazine.
