The Preserve Clubs
Featuring a variety of clubs and groups, from games and hobbies to social and golf – there’s something for everyone at The Preserve at SaddleBrooke.Brandy’s Beading Club
The Beading Club meets every Thursday in the Agate Room at the MV Craft Center from 9:00 a.m. to noon. This diverse group shares their love of beads in many ways. Beadwork can be incorporated into jewelry, knitting, crochet, loom, weaving, off-loom weaving, and needlepoint projects. A library of beading literature, along with beads, beading supplies, and tools are available for members’ use. Instructions and assistance are available through sharing of knowledge and techniques.
Friday Morning Quilt ClubThis organization presently has over 60 members including winter visitors and permanent residents. Meetings are every Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Members are quilters of many skill levels who love to share ideas about quilting and related projects.
Needlecraft GroupAll types of needlecraft including needlepoint, cross-stitch, hardanger, embroidery, knitting, crocheting, etc., are done in an unstructured setting. All are welcome. The group meets Monday and Saturday from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the SaddleBrooke HOA 1 Arts & Crafts Center, Room 4. Some supplies and help are available.
SaddleBrooke Fine Arts GuildThe Fine Arts Guild is an organization of art enthusiasts and aspiring artists of all levels, focused on watercolor, oil, acrylics, pastels, pencils, sculpture, and art photography. We arrange classes and monthly programs for all residents. We sponsor member exhibits, twice-yearly Fine Arts Shows, and an Outreach program. SaddleBrooke Greenware ClubFor those interested in learning to use proper techniques in pouring, cleaning, firing, and decorating ceramic pieces. Certified instructors teach classes on a regular basis in various methods of ceramic art work.
SaddleBrooke Pottery ClubThe pottery club offers residents the space and equipment to learn a new skill or revisit the fun of clay. We have equipment to support hand building or throwing and many members available to assist with learning the basics. We also inventory certain glazes for use by members. Membership is $10 per year, with a one time additional fee of $5 for two containers (one for clay and another for tools) to keep our space organized. Contact information is posted on the doors of rooms 1 and 2 at the HOA 1 Arts and Crafts Center.
SaddleBrooke Stained Glass ClubAvailable to HOA 1 and HOA 2 homeowners is beginning level through advanced classes for both leaded and copper foil. Scheduled classes and other information can be found on the website SaddleBrookeglass.com. The Turquoise Room at HOA 2 Arts and Crafts Center is available to club members Mondays 9:00 a.m. to noon and all day Thursday.
SaddleBrooke Scrapbook ClubOur precious photos are made archival safe in beautiful albums, preserved for generations to come. They make wonderful gifts and family heirlooms. Beginners through advanced. The club has wonderful equipment and we are always willing to help each other. Come and work along with us on Tuesday afternoons from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at SaddleBrooke 1 Craft Room #4.
SaddleBrooke Stampers ClubClub members share ideas and techniques for rubber stamping. Our general meeting is the second Wednesday of every month. We also meet on Saturdays for special classes or to work on individual projects with club supplies.
SaddleBrooke Woodcarving ClubWe are a group of men and women that meet twice weekly to carve objects varying from caricatures of man and animals to realistic birds including hummingbirds, raptors, and songbirds; mammals such as coyotes, bears, deer, and, fish. Also include relief, chip, and ornamental carving.
Sews And SewsIf you like to sew, share ideas, and learn new techniques in sewing and fabric crafts, this is the group for you. Join us on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in the SaddleBrooke HOA 1 Craft Room 4, across from the gift shop.
Silversmith & Lapidary ClubLearn to fabricate beautiful silver jewelry. A 9-hour beginner course is offered four times a year. Lapidary work is available for members completing the basic course. Visit the Turquoise Room. To sign-up please contact Marlene Mattarazzo for the next available class.
4th Tuesday Evening Book ClubBook discussion with a rotating book facilitator meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday each month from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the DesertView Clubhouse.
Book Discussion GroupThe Book Discussion Group meets each month on the third Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Sonoran Room at MountainView Clubhouse. The members choose the books for discussion. The discussion is lively and fun. Lunch will follow at the Mesquite Grill.
Friends Of SaddleBrooke LibrariesOur goals include the following: provide funds for the needs of libraries in the SaddleBrooke community; focus public attention on library services, facilities, and needs; maintain a fee-based membership of persons interested in books and libraries; sponsor enrichment opportunities for the communities and stimulate gifts in a tax-exempt manner.
SaddleBrooke LibrariesRecreational reading libraries staffed by volunteers and located in the DesertView Center, MountainView and SaddleBrooke Clubhouses. Writer’s WorkshopWe learn and promote interest in writing fiction and non-fiction. Members may choose to read from their own memoirs, an essay or poem on a previous assigned theme. Mini-lessons, critique groups, and workshops are periodically offered.
Bridge Classes At SaddleBrookeBarbara Feeley has been teaching bridge classes for over 30 years. Several levels are available from Basics for Beginners through Brush-up, Modern Bidding, and Advanced Defense. We also offer practice sessions with the instructor standing by to assist the bidding or suggest a line of play. Classes generally begin in October or November and again in January and February. Canasta Club-CouplesCouples’ Canasta meets the third Friday of each month. Entry fee is $3 for each player. We play a standard five-deck canasta card game.
Men’s BridgeWe play Rubber Bridge on Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. and the game runs about 2-1/2 hours. Sign up to play at the library in the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse.
Evening Mixed Gin Rummy ClubThe gin group meets every Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Activity Center, Room 3 to play gin. The event ends at 9:45 p.m., and membership fee is $4 per year, depending on the consumption of playing cards. If a holiday falls on a Wednesday night, the event is canceled for that evening.
Mixed Intermediate Bridge For FunWe are a small, mixed, social group of bridge; fun, and camaraderie Fridays at 12:45 p.m. in the Activity Center. Sign up at the hostess desk at HOA 1. Sign-up sheet is closed at noon on Wednesday. HOA 1 and HOA 2 residents and guests are welcome.
Monday Afternoon Mah Jongg GroupWe are a fun group for experienced players.
Monday Ladies’ Open BridgeWe play at DesertView Performing Arts Center, Mondays 12:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The sign-up sheet is at the MountainView Clubhouse Library.
Monday Unsanctioned Duplicate BridgeOpen to all SaddleBrooke residents and renters. Game begins every Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the Activity Center HOA 1; you will need to arrive with your partner by 12:45 to sign in for play. There is a fee of $3 per player. We are not sanctioned by ACBL; therefore, we cannot issue Master Points, but we do award our winners.
MountainView Duplicate Bridge ClubThe MountainView Duplicate Bridge Club sponsors ACBL-sanctioned games at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Friday in the DesertView Center. The fee is $4. Games are conducted by a certified director and are played in a relaxing atmosphere. No advanced sign-up required. We will try to find a partner for anyone who needs one.
Partners’ Bridge #1Party Bridge will begin promptly at 6:45 p.m.; please arrive no later than 6:40 p.m. Arrange for your own partner. Sign up in the MVCC library book before 10:00 a.m. of the preceding Monday. Also, cancellations must be in by 10:00 a.m. of the preceding Monday.
SaddleBrooke Wednesday Ladies’ Party BridgeParty Bridge has four rounds of six hands. We start at 9:30 a.m. in the North Coyote Room at the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse until 12:30 p.m. Fee to play is $1.25; money goes to prize winners of that day. Sign in at SaddleBrooke Clubhouse Library prior to Monday 12:00 p.m.
Thursday Mountain Ladies’ Canasta ClubWe play five-deck canasta for ladies on the second and fourth Thursday mornings each month in the Sonoran Room at MountainView Clubhouse. Sign-up book is available in the MountainView Library.
Wednesday Ladies’ Duplicate BridgeNo partner needed - Game will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the Activity Center.
Wednesday Night Party BridgeParty Bridge is open to all SaddleBrooke residents who enjoy a friendly game of bridge. We are neither beginners nor professionals. We play on the first and third Wednesday of each month in the MountainView Clubhouse and we begin promptly at 6:45 p.m. Please call Jake a week in advance if interested in playing.
Ballroom Dance ClubThe 11 year old club promotes various ballroom dance activities for fun and exercise. Special dance events occur throughout the year. On-site ballroom dance classes, with cost, provide opportunity to learn and expand new dance techniques. Weekly practice sites are available to all residents. Yearly dues are $10. Canada Del Oro Barbershop ChorusMen’s Barbershop Chorus rehearses weekly on Tuesday evenings. We perform at various activities, encourage formation of barbershop quartets, and we sing in barbershop harmony style.
Coyote Country CloggersA fun-loving clogging group with varying levels of dance ranging from beginning cloggers to recreational cloggers to an accomplished exhibition team. Classes start in early October.
English Country Dance ClubEnglish Country Dance lessons are free, scheduled during the fall, winter, and spring. These dances have been popular since the 17th century in England and Colonial America. We teach the steps, practice, and then dance to the music. The dances are done in groups of 4, 6, or more. Singles are welcome.
Latin Rhythm Dance ClubWe teach Latin Dancing every Monday year-round. Free to SaddleBrooke residents. A different dance each month: Salsa, Samba, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia, Chacha, Bolero, and more. Classes are every Monday at 2 p.m. in the Vermilion Room at the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse.
“Old German Band" Alt Deutsche BandSix-piece German band plays European polkas, waltzes, marches, and dance music in authentic German costumes.
Partner Western DancePartner Western Dance classes are scheduled during the fall, winter, and spring. Also, there is a monthly Western dance open to all SaddleBrooke residents during the fall, winter, and spring.
SaddleBrooke SquaresWe are a fun loving plus Square Dance Club with lots of activities. Our Club Dance is on Thursdays 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – MountainView Ballroom. Other dances and workshops throughout the year are Sundays and Tuesdays. Lessons start in October. Check out our website for current lesson and workshop schedules.
SaddleBrooke String Players’ EnsembleOur purpose is to assemble violin, viola, cello, and bass string players who are residents of SaddleBrooke. We form duet, trio, and quartet groups to perform classical (baroque, classical, neo-classical, and modernistic) musical compositions for self enjoyment or the enjoyment of other SaddleBrooke residents.
SaddleBrooke Symphony GuildThe SaddleBrooke Symphony Guild facilitates opportunities to attend Tucson Symphony Orchestra events. The guild is an ideal way for people to share musical interests and to contribute to the outstanding Tucson Symphony. The membership year is from October to April, coinciding with the symphony season.
SaddleBrooke Silver Belles’ Dance TeamSilver Belles perform for groups and events in SaddleBrooke and the greater Tucson area. The repertoire includes a variety of dance styles to music that includes jazz, Latin, patriotic show tunes, and country western sounds. Classes are held on Monday and Friday.
SaddleBrooke SingersThe SaddleBrooke Singers is a community chorus of mixed voices. The Singers consist of approximately 60 voices. There is no audition to join the group. Two concerts are performed each year, one at Christmas and another in the spring. Rehearsals are Sunday evenings beginning in early September. We welcome anyone in the community who would like to sing in a chorus group.
The Rhythm GangBig band music from the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s plus a little bit of tunes from the next few decades following. Our band has 20 members with drums, keyboard, bass, guitar, five saxophones, four trombones, and four trumpets. We have one male and two female vocalists. MountainView Lady PuttersWe meet at the putting green behind the MountainView Pro Shop every Monday morning. Wintertime we get together at 8:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.; summertime we get together at 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. To join our group please contact Pat Wysocki.
MountainView/The Preserve Ladies’ 9-Hole Golf AssociationThe MountainView/The Preserve Lady Niners is a fun group of ladies who play 9-holes of golf each Tuesday morning. We have a wide range of golfers, from beginner to expert. We play both the MountainView and The Preserve golf courses. League play includes a variety of individual and team games. We enjoy monthly lunches and special events during the year. Membership is open to any woman who is a paid member of SaddleBrooke HOA 2 or HOA 1 or SaddleBrooke Ranch Association. MountainView/The Preserve Women’s Golf Association (MPWGA)The MPWGA is a women’s 18-hole golf association whose purpose is to organize women golfers and to promote and conserve the best interest and true spirit of the game of golf. Membership in the MPWGA offers weekly play day events on Tuesdays, special events/tournaments, handicap services, and access to outside events.

SaddleBrooke Men's Golf AssociationThe SaddleBrooke Men’s Golf Association (SMGA) offers weekly club play dates, tournaments, and handicap records.
SaddleBrooke Niner Ladies’ Golf AssociationThe SaddleBrooke Niners is for ladies who wish to play nine holes of golf on league days (Tuesdays). Objectives are to observe the rules of golf, encourage fellowship, and promote social activities. There are four regular luncheon meetings per year and numerous competitive and fun tournaments. Membership is open to any woman who is a paid member of SaddleBrooke HOA 1 and HOA 2, and has met the eligibility requirements.
SaddleBrooke Women’s Golf Association – 18SBWGA-18’s objective is to promote and conserve the best interest and true spirit of the game of golf. Tuesdays are regular play days. To be eligible for membership in the association, a current, established USGA handicap of 40 or less is required. Annual dues are payable in November.
Verde SputtersVerde Sputters is an organized club for putting sport activity; also, to promote fellowship, community charitable opportunity, and social activity.
Aqua AerobicsWe offer classes seven days a week, year-round, in the main swimming pool next to the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse. Open to both men and women. Times: 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. (Sundays are optional). No swimming skills necessary. The water is a warm 88 degrees. A boom box is used for instructions and music. There is a one-time fee of $5, payable to Ruth Jeric.
German-American FriendshipThis club celebrates our German-American heritage. We meet at 7:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse for social evenings and cultural events, speakers of interest and special events. All SaddleBrooke residents are welcome, whether from German speaking countries or Americans with German heritage. All activities are in English.
Radio-Controlled Model Flying And BoatRadio-controlled model airplane flying takes place on the club airfield in San Manuel. This airfield has a large, paved runway, equipped with a covered plane assembly and test area. Training to assist newcomers is held at this facility. Radio-controlled model sailboat and electrical-powered boat enthusiasts use SaddleBrooke Lake for their sailing fun, where assistance to newcomers is also provided on its use and rules. Club meetings will be held on the third Tuesday, monthly.
SaddleBrooke British ClubThe principle objective of our club is to facilitate the meeting and socializing of SaddleBrooke Brits in order to broaden friendships.
SaddleBrooke Computer ClubThe club teaches PC and Mac classes throughout the year. Most classes offer hands-on experience. SaddleBrooke Great Decisions Discussion GroupThe Great Decisions program, with a national membership of 325,000 and 26 chapters in Tucson, is sponsored by the Foreign Policy association of the United States. Our emphasis is on in-depth analysis of our country’s involvement in international affairs. Our SaddleBrooke Chapter is non-political and welcomes all shades of opinion in open discussion. No dues, just your participation. We meet the second and fourth Monday of each month.
SaddleBrooke Hiking ClubHiking and fitness walks for all levels. Newsletter and hike descriptions are published bi-monthly in the middle of the even months. Current membership is 450, dues are $5. Our membership applications are available at the SaddleBrooke HOA 1 and DesertView HOA 2 fitness centers.
SaddleBrooke Motorcycle ClubThe club gives motorcyclists an opportunity to socialize with others for rides every Friday. The rides range from short rides for breakfast to all day lunch rides. Rides are also scheduled to museums, parks, and civic activities of interest to the group.
SaddleBrooke Nature ClubOur club is for those who appreciate our natural environment and want to discover more through educational programs and outdoor experiences. Meetings feature special guest speakers on native flora, fauna, local geology, cultural topics, and more. Field trips explore the natural world through local day trips, sometimes multi-day tours.
Sewing Machine Embroidery ClubWe are a fun group of beginner to advanced sewers learning new techniques to use our computerized sewing/embroidery machines. Meetings may include a project, class, or field trip. We meet the second and fourth Thursdays, 9:00 a.m. to noon in the HOA 1 Arts and Crafts Room 4 (next to the gift shop).
SaddleBrooke Readers TheatreWe read plays weekly, sometimes performing in front of groups.
SaddleBrooke Theatre GuildThe SaddleBrooke Theater Guild (STG) was started in August 2005 by a group of SaddleBrooke residents interested in the performing arts and was subsequently chartered by the Homeowners’ Association 2 (HOA 2). STG encourages and supports all of its members in achieving their goals, will lend its own resources to members and affiliates including people power to help with marketing and technical expertise and is looking for new and active members with varying backgrounds and interests.
The PrimeTime PlayersThe PrimeTime Players, a member of the SaddleBrooke Theatre Guild, is a community theatre group that brings innovative dramas, comedies, and mysteries to SaddleBrooke, and provides entertainment and performing arts experiences for residents. In our five-year history, we have presented an original drama, a comedy, a live radio play, and a mystery. Proceeds are used to upgrade and improve SaddleBrooke Performing Artists’ facilities. All are welcome to join in on the fun. No experience necessary!

National Society Colonial Dames XVII CenturyWe are a volunteer, non-profit, non-political organization of lineal descendents of anyone who rendered civil or military service in any of the original 13 colonies prior to January 1, 1701. Focus is patriotic, historic preservation and education related to this time period.
National Society Daughters Of The American Colonists (DAC)DAC is a volunteer, non-profit, non-political organization of lineal descendents who rendered service in any of the original 13 colonies prior to July 4, 1776. Focus is patriotic, historical, and educational related to this time and period.
National Society Daughters Of The American Revolution (DAR)DAR is a volunteer, non-profit, non-political organization of lineal descendents of anyone who aided in achieving American independence from April 19, 1775 to November 26, 1783. DAR focuses on historic preservation, promotion of education, and patriotic endeavors.
Republican Women Of Pinal CountyThe purpose of the Republican Women of Pinal County is to seek to educate the community and facilitate political participation by sponsoring speakers, issue forums, and media reports. We meet the third Friday of the month at 10:30 in the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse. All are welcome.
Rotary Club Of SaddleBrookeRotary, the world’s oldest service club, welcomes men and women interested in humanitarian projects addressing poverty, health, education, and the environment locally and internationally. Meetings are held every Thursday at 11:15 a.m. in the SaddleBrooke HOA 1 Dining Room. Check us out!
SaddleBrooke Community OutreachSaddleBrooke Community Outreach is a 501(c) (3) organization providing new clothing and educational services to needy children in the neighboring communities. Activities include operation of Kids’ Closet, Project Catapult math tutoring, support of local food banks, mentoring for college scholarship recipients, a summer enrichment program, and joint operation of the Golden Goose Thrift Shop.
Stroke/Neurological Support GroupWe meet the fourth Saturday of the month from October – May in the HOA 1 clubhouse from 10:00 a.m. to noon, Coyote Room – Caregivers meet the third Friday of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Roadrunners. Our goal is to share ideas and most of all to help one another to regain a normal life for us, our families, our friends, and all we engage with every day.
SaddleBrooke Dog Park AssociationOur mission is to offer members a safe place to exercise and socialize their dogs in an enclosed environment. We will plan activities at the park including but not limited to fundraising, obedience training, and educational programs such as pet health, responsible pet ownership, and canine rescue. The benefit of a community dog park extends beyond the obvious for our dogs. We will be providing a place to share common love of family pets with our neighbors.
SaddleBrooke FrancophilesMembers appreciate all aspects of French culture (food, wine tasting, travel, French literature, and films) in accord with members’ interests. Social gatherings are scheduled to celebrate a variety of French holidays and cultural activities.
SaddleBrooke Off-Road Bunch-4-Wheel DriveThe club explores off-road 4-wheel drive trails at least monthly. The purpose is to further enjoyment of off-road driving, provide social experiences for its members, and protect public lands.
SaddleBrooke SinglesA social organization for all SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch singles. Our purpose is to plan social events, i.e., trips, tours, dinners, golf, and any other activities in which the membership wishes to partake. Monthly meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 4 p.m. in the Coyote Room, SaddleBrooke Clubhouse. Singles meet for Happy Hour every Friday in the Agave Lounge around 5 p.m.
Women On Our OwnWe are a women’s social group designed for those of us “on our own." Join us for an opportunity to meet people with similar interests and expand your support system and social life.
SaddleBrooke Also-RansWe are a running group of all levels of abilities. We meet four times a week to run and to encourage each other.

SaddleBrooke Karate ClubMartial Arts designed with the senior in mind. Sensei Jim Ellis received his black belt in 1999, from Shotokan Karate of America (SKA.) SKA is the largest martial arts organization in the world and our club is structured to follow its protocol. Come join us and get a big kick out of your life in SaddleBrooke. Learn self defense while enjoying exercises that improve flexibility, cardio, speed, balance, coordination, and…memory. We meet every Tuesday 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Thursday 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., lessons are free.
SaddleBrooke Pickleball AssociationSaddleBrooke residents may join the SaddleBrooke Pickleball Association (SPA) by visiting our website at www.spa.club.express.com. SPA members may make court reservations and register for club events through the website. Residents who are not members may reserve courts by contacting the court reservation administrator
SaddleBrooke Slo-Pitch SoftballSaddleBrooke Softball sponsors year round play for men and women. The field is just south of the DesertView Sports Club and Theatre Center. Over 150 active members participate in seven leagues every day of the week, except Wednesdays and Sundays. Teams are selected based on players’ skill ratings to ensure balanced teams. Fees from 75 sponsors and membership dues fund the associations’ activities. In addition to league play, tournaments are hosted on St. Patrick’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving weekend.
SaddleBrooke Swim ClubThe swim club promotes swimming among SaddleBrooke residents. Opportunities range from swimming lessons to competitive swimming. Regular structured workout on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings at the DesertView Lap Pool. SaddleBrooke Table Tennis ClubWe play Tuesday – Sunday. For times, see Ping Pong/Table Tennis under clubs on either HOA 1 or HOA 2.
SaddleBrooke Tennis ClubThe SaddleBrooke Tennis Club manages the tennis program for all courts in the SaddleBrooke community. SaddleBrooke residents may arrange court time by calling the Tennis Center at 825-0255. Organized play is arranged and managed by the STC coordinators. Membership is open to all residents of HOA 1 and HOA 2. STC makes tennis an enjoyable activity for all SaddleBrooke residents.
