The Preserve Creative Arts
There are many creative art clubs to choose from. Join the quilting club or try your hand at pottery, woodcarving or scrapbooking. The choices are yours.Brandy’s Beading Club
The Beading Club meets every Thursday in the Agate Room at the MV Craft Center from 9:00 a.m. to noon. This diverse group shares their love of beads in many ways. Beadwork can be incorporated into jewelry, knitting, crochet, loom, weaving, off-loom weaving, and needlepoint projects. A library of beading literature, along with beads, beading supplies, and tools are available for members’ use. Instructions and assistance are available through sharing of knowledge and techniques.
Friday Morning Quilt Club
This organization presently has over 60 members including winter visitors and permanent residents. Meetings are every Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Members are quilters of many skill levels who love to share ideas about quilting and related projects.
Needlecraft Group
All types of needlecraft including needlepoint, cross-stitch, hardanger, embroidery, knitting, crocheting, etc., are done in an unstructured setting. All are welcome. The group meets Monday and Saturday from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the SaddleBrooke HOA 1 Arts & Crafts Center, Room 4. Some supplies and help are available.
SaddleBrooke Fine Arts Guild
The Fine Arts Guild is an organization of art enthusiasts and aspiring artists of all levels, focused on watercolor, oil, acrylics, pastels, pencils, sculpture, and art photography. We arrange classes and monthly programs for all residents. We sponsor member exhibits, twice-yearly Fine Arts Shows, and an Outreach program. SaddleBrooke Gift Shop
Located next to the fitness center on SaddleBrooke Boulevard, this shop features items handcrafted by SaddleBrooke residents. Hours: May – September 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; October – April 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
SaddleBrooke Greenware Club
For those interested in learning to use proper techniques in pouring, cleaning, firing, and decorating ceramic pieces. Certified instructors teach classes on a regular basis in various methods of ceramic art work.
SaddleBrooke Pottery Club
The pottery club offers residents the space and equipment to learn a new skill or revisit the fun of clay. We have equipment to support hand building or throwing and many members available to assist with learning the basics. We also inventory certain glazes for use by members. Membership is $10 per year, with a one time additional fee of $5 for two containers (one for clay and another for tools) to keep our space organized. Contact information is posted on the doors of rooms 1 and 2 at the HOA 1 Arts and Crafts Center.
SaddleBrooke Stained Glass Club
Available to HOA 1 and HOA 2 homeowners is beginning level through advanced classes for both leaded and copper foil. Scheduled classes and other information can be found on the website SaddleBrookeglass.com. The Turquoise Room at HOA 2 Arts and Crafts Center is available to club members Mondays 9:00 a.m. to noon and all day Thursday.
SaddleBrooke Scrapbook Club
Our precious photos are made archival safe in beautiful albums, preserved for generations to come. They make wonderful gifts and family heirlooms. Beginners through advanced. The club has wonderful equipment and we are always willing to help each other. Come and work along with us on Tuesday afternoons from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at SaddleBrooke 1 Craft Room #4.
SaddleBrooke Stampers Club
Club members share ideas and techniques for rubber stamping. Our general meeting is the second Wednesday of every month. We also meet on Saturdays for special classes or to work on individual projects with club supplies.
SaddleBrooke Woodcarving Club
We are a group of men and women that meet twice weekly to carve objects varying from caricatures of man and animals to realistic birds including hummingbirds, raptors, and songbirds; mammals such as coyotes, bears, deer, and, fish. Also include relief, chip, and ornamental carving.
Sews And Sews
If you like to sew, share ideas, and learn new techniques in sewing and fabric crafts, this is the group for you. Join us on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in the SaddleBrooke HOA 1 Craft Room 4, across from the gift shop.
Silversmith & Lapidary Club
Learn to fabricate beautiful silver jewelry. A 9-hour beginner course is offered four times a year. Lapidary work is available for members completing the basic course. Visit the Turquoise Room.
