Ropin’ in Yer Relatives is the Robson Ranch Arizona Genealogy Club. This club is for anyone interested in learning more about the past generations of their family tree. This season, the club has a slate of wonderful speakers who will share their expertise to help members with their research. See what the club has planned for the next few months.

2022/2023 Club Meetings

Ropin’ in Yer Relatives meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month from November through March. At the club’s first meeting, Wendy Carlson will be talking about the website “Find a Grave.” She will review how to use the site and offer tips on how to find information about ancestors who have passed.

Secondly, Bonnie Belza will provide an overview of rootsmagic.com.

In addition, other speakers for the year include:

• Dan Wheeler will be talking about “Census Records.”
• Our Christmas Cookie Exchange! Sandra Ristow will be speaking about the “Joy of Genealogy Travel.”
• Tamy Thomsen will share her search on “How I Found My Grandfather.”
• Lindsey Harner will give a Zoom presentation about “Occupations," focusing on the past and outdated occupations we may see.
• Regina Crisman is sharing how her research led her to the East Coast with “My Travel Trip to NJ.”
• David Fryzel will discuss the “Secrets of Successful Web Searches” on a Zoom presentation.
• Marilyn Simleness will be back to share the best practices for using the “National Archives.”
• Finally, our end-of-the-year meeting will include a potluck picnic and the election of officers. The location for this meeting will be at the home of Kristin Zanas.
